STOWMARKET'S good start continued at the expense of Cornard United, but at half time, the home side, for all their domination, had failed to break down a resolute Cornard defence, who in defender Cripps and keeper Walker, had the two busiest players on the pitch.
Stowmarket knocked the ball about in some fine passing movements, but the nearest they came to open the scoring was through Canfer.
After 55 minutes, the home side did take the lead, a superbly taken goal by defender McConnell, playing a one/two with Tredray, before lifting the ball past Walker.
Ten minutes later McConnell was involved again, his strong run and excellent cross field pass picked out striker Brown, who strode forward to strike the ball past Walker.
Minutes later the home side scored their third, BROWN scoring his second with a neat finish inside the box.
